Dual SIM: My Number Isn’t Showing ? What to Do

Why it happens

Only one line’s MSISDN is read by the OS until activity on the second line.
Provisioning lag on a newly inserted SIM (prepaid/MVNO common).
Cache: the device shows an old number until an SMS/call occurs.

Quick fixes

Send a short SMS from the “blank” line, then reopen Settings → About phone → SIM status.
Temporarily set the “blank” line as default for SMS, send once, switch back.
Reboot. On some Android builds this refreshes the SIM info immediately.

Fastest: CheckMyNumber.uk

Open CheckMyNumber.uk, tap Send SMS, wait ~30s, tap Verify. Your number will be displayed for the active SIM.

Tip: Repeat once with the other line selected for SMS to capture both numbers.
